Feghouli
Thought he deserved a thread. Has been much much better last couple times has come off the bench!

Re: Feghouli
I think he needs time to get in a rhythm with the rest of the team. he's certainly one of the better buys over the summer imo (which concededly isn't a high bar). In preseason, he was playing some very clever balls in attack. If nothing else, he's very useful off the bench to replace Payet or Lanzini if we need to.

We did look a bit more exposed though when he replaced fernandes, so hopefully he will have limited defensive duties.

decent player to bring off the bench

Re: Feghouli
Seems to have something about him but looks far too weak and keeps getting outmuscled.

Re: Feghouli
Not sure about his defensive discipline if being asked towing back.

Probably more cover / competition for Lanzini

Pee Wee

Not sure I agree with that mate, he is a different type of player. Antonio is fast, direct and scores a lot. Fegs is more skilful but his scoring and assist record isn't great. I'm not sure you'd want to drop a player who has scored 13 goals in 33 league games for us for a player who only managed 20 during nearly 150 games at Valencia. Horses for courses, and I'm sure he will get lots of game time.

Re: Feghouli
I think in time he'll start in front of Antonio. Definitely better technically, just needs time to settle in a settled team.

But then I also have the same hopes for Tore

Yes, he came with good pedigree after a long spell with a good club in Spain, but unfortunately does not look top drawer at all. Would rather have signed Nathan Redmond.

Re: Feghouli
Looks promising...much better than Tore...

Good option down the Right...

Re: Feghouli
I've never been entirely sure what he is supposed to do. But whatever it is he did it very well last night

Re: Feghouli
Made a big step forward last night. Did just the job we needed and got stuck in. Hopefully will keep improving & give us another option off the bench.
Good to see Ayew come on and add a bit of calmness too.
Even Zaza did something useful in setting up Payet for what should have been 3-0.

Re: Feghouli
I loved his desire and graft, but I also think he showed flashes of great close control and quick feet. Very pleasantly surprised.

Re: Feghouli
Loved his sliding tackle last night, seemed to go in for it about 5 metres away and still won the ball. Nice to see he isn't bothered getting stuck in.

Re: Feghouli
He's a grafter
Deffo not the quality we were led to believe by the club.
But hey...that's nothing new.

I think he'll come good given a run in the side, looks like he can produce something from nothing

Re: Feghouli
hopefully he makes the wing right back his role, kind of like Moses at Chelsea

Re: Feghouli
Hands up with the bloke, not been overly impressed in spite of glimpses

Last night he showed some real vim and vigour and touches of penetrating skill, bloke is growing on me and whilst he never hit the 'abject shite envelope' occupied by the utterly iredeemable Tore, Calleri and Nordveit, he is coming on

Has a part to play

Re: Feghouli
Still think this bloke can be very good.

Not sure where he'll play though.

Trevor B 10:08 Thu Oct 27
Re: Feghouli
we did indeed, and now the team is more settleed and others are playing well i am sure we will see more form the likes of fegs and nordveit.

people will still moan that he was a freebie, therefore 'cheap' in their eyes and therefore not very good though.

Re: Feghouli
Definitely. Great addition to the squad and didn't we get him on a free?
